Sergey Lavrov has handed in Rustam Minnikhanov a Foreign Ministry award badge “For contribution into the international cooperation”
On 25 August at his meeting at the Russian Foreign Ministry with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who is on a working trip to Moscow, Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov handed in Rustam Minnikhanov a departmental award – a Foreign Ministry badge “For contribution into the international cooperation” which is given for active joint work with the Russian Ministry in development of bilateral cooperation, promotion of Russian language and culture, implementation of projects supporting compatriots and other merits.
Sergey Lavrov also stated that Tatarstan and personally Rustam Minnikhanov do much work for strengthening ties between countries and make a contribution into foreign political work of Russia in the whole. First of all, he said, that is related to the work of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-Islamic World” headed by Minnikhanov. How the Group is working despite difficulties in the international arena is the great merit of Rustam Minnikhanov, the Russian Foreign Minister said.
Further they discussed issues of implementation of joint projects and interaction of Tatarstan as one of Russian regions with international partners, also touching the topics of strengthening mutually beneficial relations with Islamic world countries and tasks for further cooperation in line of Strategic Vision Group “Russia-Islamic World”.
