On 2 December at a solemn ceremony held in Korston Kazan recreation and shopping center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin awarded winners of the XVIII Regional competition of “50 best ideas for Tatarstan”, where more than 150 people were handed in monetary awards from 25 to 220 000 roubles.
The competition has been held by the regional Investments-Venture Fund (IVF), the Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Education and Science of the republic since 2005 and 2 597 people have become its winners.
Speaking at the ceremony, Aleksey Pesoshin said that the aim of the competition is to stimulate innovative work of scientists and inventors, students and schoolchildren. “In many spheres the potential for implementation someone’s ideas and developing business is huge, moreover in the current situation when the issues of providing technological sovereignty becomes a priority”, he said.
Tatarstan Prime Minister stated that currently it is crucial to ramp up interaction of innovative infrastructure, universities, academic institutes, public organizations and small enterprises with the real sector of economy as much as possible.
“Tatarstan has all necessary conditions for investment and innovative work in different spheres”, Aleksey Pesoshin concluded.
In his turn the Director of the IVF Aynur Aydeldinov said: “For 18 years of our work we financed and supported about 2 600 companies in the beginning of their way. Our priority tasks are facilitation of startups development, fund-raising and bringing them to the Russian market” and handed in monetary prizes to startups and students projects – winners in nine nominations, such as “Prospects”, “Innovations in education”, “The patent of the year” and others.
