Tatarstan President meets the Amir of the State of Qatar

On December 18, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and congratulated the Amir and the citizens on Qatar National Day.

“Relations between Russia and Qatar are developing steadily. At its level, Tatarstan tries to contribute to the strengthening of Russian-Qatari relations”, Tatarstan President said. Minnikhanov emphasized that Russia attaches great importance to interaction with the Islamic world, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The parties discussed issues of cooperation under the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group.
