Rustam Minnikhanov holds a meeting of the Regional Coordinating Council on interaction with the All-Russian "Movement of the First"
On June 1, at the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held an extended meeting of the Regional Coordinating Council under the Rais of Tatarstan on interaction with the All-Russian public-state movement of children and youth "Movement of the First".
Minnikhanov called it symbolic that the event takes place on International Children’s Day. He also said that on the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the period from 2018 to 2027 was declared the Decade of Childhood. For this purpose, the Concept of Information Security for Children and the Strategy for Integrated Child Safety for the period up to 2030 were approved.
“The main goal of the state policy is the education of a harmoniously developed and socially responsible person based on traditional Russian spiritual and moral values, historical and national cultural traditions,” Minnikhanov said.
Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Tatarstan traditionally pays great attention to child protection issues, and youth support is one of the strategic directions of development.
During the meeting, the Rais of Tatarstan said that the region has accumulated a significant experience in youth policy. Thus, modern youth infrastructure is being developed, youth voluntary organizations and their initiatives are being supported, and State programmes are being implemented, including the programme «Development of youth policy in Tatarstan for 2019 - 2025».
