On 7 June, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that a delegation of the republic took an active part in the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
On 5 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov came on a working trip to St Petersburg to take part in the events of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum held from 5 to 7 June. The visit programme includes up to 30 meetings and signing of agreements.
On 3 June in the Kazan Kremlin Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Regional Revival Fund, had a meeting with His Royal Highness Prince Turki AlFaisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who is the Chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies.
On 26 May in the evening the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working trip to Uzbekistan to take part in events of the Council of Russian Regions and Uzbekistan as a member of the Russian delegation.
On 22 May in Moscow, speaking at his meeting with the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who came to Russia on the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: “The Russian Federation attaches big importance to interaction with Bahrain. Our country considers the Kingdom to be an important trade-economic and investments partner in the Middle East.”
In his address on occasion of the Day of Official Adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated guests and residents of the republic with the holiday and said:
“More than eleven centuries ago in 922 our forefathers made their historical choice which predestined the Tatar people fate and influenced the development of the whole Muslim civilization.
On May 19, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, the Chairman of the Russian Muslims Spiritual Board Talgat Tadzhuddin, the Mufti of Russia Ravil Gaynutdin, the Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Kirill and also other religious leaders of Russia.
On 17 May, speaking at his meeting with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy of the UAE Abdullah Al Saleh on the sidelines of the XV KazanForum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that at its level the republic actively facilitates strengthening of Russia-Emirates relations by organizing reciprocal visits of delegations and Tatarstan representatives taking regular part in the Dubai Investments Forum and the International Exhibition in Abu-Dhabi. “We always feel personal attention and support of developing our cooperation given by the President of the UAE, the Ruler of the Abu-Dhabi Emirate His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, “he said.
On 13 May at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the World Ethnosport Confederation President Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, who came on a working trip to the republic, discussed issues of further cooperation in sports, strengthening of already existing ties and participation in international sports competitions.
On 10 May upon his arrival to the International Airport of Kazan the President of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Mokhtar Sissoco Embalo was welcomed by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
The leader of the African state came to Kazan from Moscow, where on invitation of Russia he took part in solemn events dedicated to the Victory Day. Yesterday Umaro Mokhtar Sissoco Embalo had a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
