On September 30, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with President of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum Taha Ayhan, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the first International Youth Camp under the cooperation between Russia and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

On September 27, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a working visit in Turkmenistan to take part in the celebrations of the Independence Day of the republic, had a meeting with Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov.

On September 25, Kazan hosted the main cycling race of the Republic of Tatarstan - Tour de Tatarstan Kazan 2021. It was held for the third time, more than 500 participants from 26 regions of Russia registered for it.

Today, trainings and qualification competitions within the framework of the First Games of the CIS countries have started in the capital of Tatarstan. International competitions among representatives of the Commonwealth of Independent States were established by the Decision of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States on October 25, 2019. In accordance with the minutes of the meeting of the Council for Physical Culture and Sports of the participants of the Agreement on Cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports of the CIS member states, it was decided to hold the first Games of the CIS countries in Kazan.

On September 1, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the leadership of the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Kazan.

From September 3 to 4, the "URAM" extreme park will host the Russian Championship in BMX cycling.

The Russian Championship will be held among men and women born in 2002 and older at 3 distances:

-BMX-freestyle park (or mixed park);

-BMX-freestyle flat;

-BMX-race rhythm track.

On August 18, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a working visit in Kazakhstan, was met by Prime Minister of Kazakhastan Askar Mamin at Nur-Sultan International Airport.

From August 16 to 20, Kazan will host the open the European championship in mixed martial arts (MMA). 252 athletes (164 adults and 88 juniors) from 14 countries, such as Armenia, Bahrain, Bulgaria, Finland, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Tajikistan and Estonia will take part in the tournament, which will be held at the BSS Basket Hall. This is the first post-pandemic tournament of the United International Mixed Martial Arts Federation on the Continent.

The Republic of Tatarstan together with the International Institute for the Development of Competitiveness and Clusters TCI Network is holding the XXIV TCI Global Conference.

The event will be held in Kazan on September 15-17, 2021.
Kazan will be the first city in Russia and the EEU to host an event of this kind.

On July 30, at their meeting at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Uzbekistan delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade - Director of the Centre for Development of Investment Projects Khurram Teshabaev discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation and the implementation of joint projects in the agro-industrial complex.
