On February 20, at the invitation of the Emirati side, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening of the International Exhibition IDEX-2023 in Abu Dhabi.

Enterprises of Tatarstan have been participating in the exhibition since 1995. Rosobronexport Russian Defense Export, Almaz-Antey Concern, High Precision Complexes research and production association, Tekhnodinamika Company, Shvabe, United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation, "Ulyanovsk Cartridge Plant" and Kazan State Gunpowder Plant presented the Russian pavilion at the 30th anniversary exhibition.

On 17 February at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the First Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Elnur Aydin oglu Aliyev discussed issues of further cooperation and strengthening business contacts in a number of spheres.

On 15 February in the Government House of the republic,  the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting of the regional organizational committee for preparation of the ХIV International economic forum “Russia-Islamic world: KazanForum 2023”.

On 8 February the Rais (the Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to the regional Government to organize work in providing humanitarian aid for residents of Turkey, who suffered from the strongest earthquake.

The start of the "Ski Track of Russia" in Tatarstan will take place on February 11. In Kazan, the races will be held at five venues: the Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky Forest, the floodplain of the Kazanka River along Gavrilova Street, Komsomolskoye Lake in Derbyshki, the Lokomotiv stadium in the village of Yudino and the Mirny ski and biathlon complex. This was announced today at a press conference in Tatar-inform by Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Sadriev.

On 6 February Rais (the Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan  Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting of the regional organizing committee for preparation and holding the International multi-sports tournament the Games of the Future  held in the Government house of the republic  with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitriy Chernyshenko joining the meeting via videoconference.

On 2 February Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the first meeting of the organizing committee of the International Economic Forum “Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum” held by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin on Moscow.

On 25 January, speaking at a meeting of the Government of the republic dedicated to results of the Digitalization Year and digitalization tasks for 2023 held in the new IT-Park in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that one of the largest IT facilities was established in Kazan during the Digitalization Year, and that was the Bashir Rameyev IT-Park. “This shows that a lot of resources are allocated into this sphere and these resources and efforts were not wasted,” he said.

On January 22, at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin and the President of the Russian Special Olympics Olga Slutsker took part in the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics United Games.

On January 20, during his working visit to Ashkhabad, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov. Minnikhanov thanked Turkmenistan President for his attention to the development of bilateral cooperation with Tatarstan, aimed at strengthening relations between Russia and Turkmenistan. The parties discussed issues of developing trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan.
